Chittorgarh Fort, India

Ziggurat

Ziggurats were built by the SumeriansBabyloniansElamitesAkkadians, and Assyrians for local religions. Each ziggurat was part of a temple complex which included other buildings. The precursors of the ziggurat were raised platforms that date from the Ubaid period during the fourth millennium BC. The earliest ziggurats began near the end of the Early Dynastic Period. The latest Mesopotamian ziggurats date from the 6th century BC. Built in receding tiers upon a rectangular, oval, or square platform, the ziggurat was a pyramidal structure with a flat top. Sun-baked bricks made up the core of the ziggurat with facings of fired bricks on the outside. The facings were often glazed in different colors and may have had astrological significance. Kings sometimes had their names engraved on these glazed bricks. The number of tiers ranged from two to seven. It is assumed that they had shrines at the top, but there is no archaeological evidence for this and the only textual evidence is from Herodotus. Access to the shrine would have been by a series of ramps on one side of the ziggurat or by a spiral ramp from base to summit. The Mesopotamian ziggurats were not places for public worship or ceremonies. They were believed to be dwelling places for the gods and each city had its own patron god. Only priests were permitted on the ziggurat or in the rooms at its base, and it was their responsibility to care for the gods and attend to their needs. The priests were very powerful members of Sumerian society.

History of Cologne Cathedral

Cologne Cathedral stands on the site of a 4th century Roman temple, followed by a square church known as the "oldest cathedral" commissioned by Maternus, the first Christian bishop of Cologne. A second church built on the site, the "Old Cathedral," was completed in 818. This burned down on April 30, 1248.
Construction of the present Gothic church began in the 13th century and took, with interruptions, more than 600 years to complete. The new structure was built to house the relics of the Three Magi, taken from Milan by Holy Roman Emperor Fredrick Barbarossa and given to the Archbishop of Cologne, Rainald von Dassel in 1164.
The foundation stone of Cologne Cathedral was laid on August 15, 1248, by Archbishop Konrad von Hochstaden, and the choir was consecrated in 1322. After this initial rapid progress, construction work gradually came to a standstill, and by the year 1560, only a torso had been built.
Only with the 19th century Romantic enthusiasm for the Middle Ages and the commitment of the Prussian Court did construction work resume. 1824 saw the addition of the towers and other substantial parts of the cathedral, mostly according to surviving medieval plans and drawings.
The completion of Germany's largest cathedral was celebrated as a national event in 1880, 632 years after construction had began. The celebration was attended by Emperor Wilhelm I.
The cathedral suffered 14 hits by World War II aerial bombs but did not collapse and reconstruction was completed in 1956. In the northwest tower's base, an emergency repair carried out with bad-quality brickstones taken from a nearby war ruin remained visible until the late 1990s as a reminder of the War, but then it was decided to reconstruct this section according to the original appearance. It is possible to climb a spiral staircase to a viewing platform about 98 metres above the ground.

In 1996, the cathedral was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List of culturally important sites and in 2004, it was placed on the "World Heritage in Danger" list

"Compare Between Poor Poeple and Rich People"

In this world, we have so many classes of people. Some of them are rich and the other are poor ad thats why we have different living in this world. I have read that poor people are more ha rich ones ad thats due to the money management and other reasons However we can be rich from different ways such as working hard and make an excellent use of money. Therefore, this world is full of different classes of people due to the family background, environment and self-work.
This world is full with different kinds of people, I mean in their opinions and knowledge. Helping others is part of humanity and it is considered the best way to establish good personality. I think that rich people should strongly help poor people because simply they are in need. Poor nations are in need of food supplies, shelters, and other major stuff that would make them happy. It is very mean rude to not help poor nations and ignore them. Therefore, rich people have allot of money and it will not effect if they donate or give charity to poor people. There are many good ways to help people such as giving them food, money or even sit with them. Sitting with poor people and talking with them will increase their feelings and will make them happier. It is not always money brings happiness but instead improving feelings.
There are many advantages and disadvantages when helping poor nations. Everything has positives and negatives, one of the advantages of helping poor nations is that you draw happiness in the poor's faces. Also, you gave poor people support form rich stuff. However, there are disadvantages like helping poor people too much will maybe let poor people to completely depend on the rich donator. Also, they will not be responsible or find their way to get money. At the end, we can say that their should be neutral help for rich nations to poor nations.
Poor nations are in need from rich nations because they need support and we feel very sad if we see poor are in this situation.
